The Montessori School of San Antonio Board of Trustees is a governing board consisting of MSSA parents, parents of MSSA alumni, and individuals from outside the MSSA community. The Board meets once a month, and every trustee serves for three years. Every trustee serves on at least one of the following committees: Executive Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Committee on Trustees, Finance, or Development and Marketing Committee. The board of trustees also appoints committees on an ad hoc basis, offering opportunities for non-trustee involvement and participation.

The mission of the Board of Trustees is to ensure and protect the long-term welfare and interest of the school and its mission.
