The Annual Fund is an investment in the future of all MSSA students and the school itself. Funds raised by The Annual Fund first bridge the gap between operating revenues and expenses, then support enhancements of the school's program and expansion of its facilities. Annual Fund dollars provide ambitious financial aid for deserving families and robust professional development opportunities for faculty each year.
Gifts to The Annual Fund support the school indirectly as well. Evidence of strong internal support helps draw support from outside of the school community, and foundations and corporations prefer to direct charitable dollars to schools that indicate vigorous fundraising sustainability. MSSA's Board, faculty, and Executive Parent Council consistently lead the way with 100% participation in Love of Learning.
Making a meaningful gift to The Annual Fund is one of the most important statements that a friend of the school can express. Gifts may be made in honor or memorial of friends, family, or loved ones. The Montessori School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation; therefore all gifts to the school are tax deductible to the extent of the law. Many businesses will match all or part of an employee's gift to support education.
