Passionate Learners
Independent Thinkers
Engaged Citizens

Montessori at MSSA provides an education that balances nurturing care with academics, honoring every student's individual pace, interests, and learning style while guiding them toward excellence and personal growth.

Welcome to The Montessori School of San Antonio

Where children are guided to be passionate learners, independent thinkers, and engaged citizens.

The Montessori School of San Antonio was founded as the Judson School – a Montessori Workshop in 1974. From there it has grown to include Primary, Elementary, and Middle School Montessori programs. The MSSA campus is a secure 24-acre parcel at the intersection of Loop 1604 and Rogers Ranch Parkway in far North-Central San Antonio with a surrounding environment designed specifically to meet the learning criteria set out by Dr. Maria Montessori.

As a parent, I can confidently say that I could not have chosen a better community for my children and our family unit. MSSA works hard to maintain a wonderful learning environment where grace and courtesy are always paramount. The education is challenging, yet manageable, and it allows students to have a very subtle transition when moving on to a higher grade-level."

Academics at MSSA

With an active and experiential learning environment, the academic program at The Montessori School of San Antonio lays the foundation for children to become lifelong learners. Smaller class sizes allow for accommodating individual students and their personal learning styles. MSSA values all student’s unique strengths and guides them to become strong community members.

🏈A first took place on the field of MSSA last night. The first MSSA flag football team played its first game. With only 7 practices under their belt, the team showed up ready to play. They didnt take their first win, but there were plenty of other firsts to be celebrated!🎉Congratulations, Jags! We cant wait to watch the program grow. 🏈 #mssa #themontessorischoolofsanantonio #flagfootball
