Welcome to The Montessori School of San Antonio
Where children are guided to be passionate learners, independent thinkers, and engaged citizens.
The Montessori School of San Antonio was founded as the Judson School – a Montessori Workshop in 1974. From there it has grown to include Primary, Elementary, and Middle School Montessori programs. The MSSA campus is a secure 24-acre parcel at the intersection of Loop 1604 and Rogers Ranch Parkway in far North-Central San Antonio with a surrounding environment designed specifically to meet the learning criteria set out by Dr. Maria Montessori.
As a parent, I can confidently say that I could not have chosen a better community for my children and our family unit. MSSA works hard to maintain a wonderful learning environment where grace and courtesy are always paramount. The education is challenging, yet manageable, and it allows students to have a very subtle transition when moving on to a higher grade-level."

Last week, our students dove into a world of cultural discovery! Several classrooms learned more about the Día de los Muertos and the altars created to commemorate the lives of loved ones. Others explored the meaning of Diwali and even created vibrant sidewalk art in honor of the holiday. Thank you, parents and guests, for sharing a piece of your life with us. #themontessorischoolofsanantonio #MSSA ... See MoreSee Less

🍎Over the past few weeks, Ms. Lisa's Primary class enjoyed tasty baked apples as a snack. Here's the awesome part: they prepared the dish for themselves.❤️ They started by cutting two apple slices into smaller pieces, added a pat of butter, and sprinkled cinnamon to their liking. After the apples had baked, each child enjoyed a special snack prepared 💯% by them. By preparing their own snack, the students gain practice in following steps, making choices, and taking pride in their work. 🍎Experiences like this nurture self-reliance and joy, laying a strong foundation for future learning. #themontessorischoolofsanantonio #MSSA #bakedapples #montessori ...
