The Lasting Impact of an MSSA Education

Our Class of 2022 has just become the Class of 2026, and their journeys reflect the lasting impact of an MSSA education. They stepped into both private and public high schools with the confidence, independence, and curiosity to thrive in any environment. From there, they are now headed to a range of respected colleges and universities, a testament not only to their hard work but also to the strong foundation, sense of purpose, and love of learning that began at The Montessori School of San Antonio.

MSSA Impact

"One way MSSA prepared me especially well for high school and now college was by helping me understand how I learn and giving me the support I needed to become confident in myself as a student.

MSSA was the first place that recognized signs that I learned differently, and they helped create an environment where I could get the right resources and support. Because of that, I learned how to read at MSSA in a way that worked for me. That changed so much for me.

As a student with dyslexia, learning to read was not always easy, but MSSA helped me see that learning differently did not mean I was not capable. It helped me build confidence, ask for help when I needed it, and advocate for myself. Those skills helped me throughout high school and will continue to help me as I start college at the University of Colorado Boulder.

I am really grateful for the foundation MSSA gave me and the teachers who supported me through that journey."

"Some skills MSSA taught me well, and that I continue to use to this day, are time management and public speaking. The work I did with Ms. Anne and Ms. Teresa taught me how to manage my time, think outside the box, and spread out my work in a way that I thought was best for me, and the freedom the classroom gave me definitely helped me to be who I am today. The middle school 20-minute passion project presentation on a topic of our choice helped me gain confidence in myself and helped me develop my public speaking skills from a young age, which I am very grateful for."
