The Lasting Impact of an MSSA Education

Our Class of 2022 has just become the Class of 2026, and their journeys reflect the lasting impact of an MSSA education. They stepped into both private and public high schools with the confidence, independence, and curiosity to thrive in any environment. From there, they are now headed to a range of respected colleges and universities, a testament not only to their hard work but also to the strong foundation, sense of purpose, and love of learning that began at The Montessori School of San Antonio.

2026 - 2027 Tuition

MSSA offers three payment plan options:

ANNUAL: One payment of the full tuition amount (less $750 deposit) is due on July 1. The Tuition Protection Plan fee is optional with the Annual payment plan; however, if the TPP fee is waived, no tuition will be refunded in the event a student withdraws during the school year for any reason.

SEMI-ANNUAL: Two equal payments of tuition (less $750 deposit) are due on July 1 and December 1. One-half of the Tuition Protection Plan fee is required for this plan, and covers withdrawals during the second semester only.

MONTHLY: Ten equal payments of tuition (less $750 deposit) are due starting July 1 and ending April 1. Full TPP is required for the Monthly payment plan. TPP fees are due on May 1, or upon signing of the enrollment contract (whichever date is later).

What is the Tuition Protection Plan?

MSSA’s Tuition Protection Plan (TPP) provides a measure of security for the financial investment of parents who must withdraw their student(s) before the end of the school year. TPP is required for the Monthly payment plan; half of the TPP fee is required for Semi-Annual payment plans, and TPP is optional (but highly recommended) for Annual payment plans. TPP is a one-time charge.

Financial Aid

MSSA offers financial assistance to qualified families. Families who do not currently have children enrolled at the school must complete the admission process and be accepted for the current or upcoming school year prior to applying for financial assistance. Once a child is accepted to MSSA, applications for financial assistance can be submitted through FACTS.

Families with children currently enrolled in the school are also eligible to participate in the financial assistance process. The school will consider the refund of deposits and other enrollment-related fees should an award be less than the amount indicated by FACTS.

Opening quotation marks.

Free the child’s potential and you will transform him into the world."

Texas School Voucher Program

We know some families have questions about the new Texas school voucher program (TEFA) and what it might mean for independent schools like ours. At this time, MSSA has chosen not to participate in the program while we carefully review the details and assess how it may affect our mission, community, and educational approach.

As an independent school, this decision allows us to preserve the autonomy that defines who we are, including our governance, policies, curriculum, standardized testing, admission and hiring practices, and commitment to authentic Montessori implementation. Remaining independent ensures that we can continue to make thoughtful, mission-aligned decisions in the best interest of our students and families.

As always, our priority is to make decisions that stay true to our Montessori values and support the families we serve. We’ll continue to keep you informed as we learn more. Thank you for your trust and partnership as we navigate these changes together.
